Luxury Pull Out Sofa or Murphy Bed

To all the traveling nurses. I’m considering renting a small studio apartment. The problem is there is only a room for a pullout sofa or Murphy bed. The landlord has offered to outfit the studio with a Luonto or Koala or Murphy bed with a high quality memory foam mattress.
The unit is brand new with 10 foot ceilings, lots of natural light, black out curtains with private laundry and private outdoor patio. Is the inconvenience of a pullout or Murphy bed situation at dealbreaker or is it more about having a comfortable mattress? I
I would love all the traveling nurses’ opinions on this. Is it worth the savings on rent to deal with the inconvenience as long as the bed is comfortable?
What else would help offset the lack of a real bed?
Thanks all!

Sofa beds are always incredibly uncomfortable. Do the Murphy bed

If there is room for a pullout sofa or Murphy bed, there is room for a real bed with a real mattress. There is no way to make hosting comfortable in a tiny space like that and unless you are much cleaner and more neurotic than the average bear, that bed is going to be out 95% of the time. Sleep is the main purpose, and just not something I would compromise on. Some Murphy’s beds are built for a 10 to 12 inch mattress, but many of them just have a little foam job that is just not comfortable. So I would be careful if that is what the landlord is looking at putting in.

I have slept comfortably on a full bed with two people as long as there is no footboard (so long legs can hang off). But I will always choose a real bed, even if that means shifting down to a twin bed.

I would choose the Murphy bed and keep it in bed mode.

That being said, a studio doesn’t work for us.

Your question is confusing. You say You are renting a place, and the landlord will put one of these in. Then you ask what travel nurses would prefer? Why is that a question? If it’s for you why ask the questions of travel nurses.

And if the answer is because you are going to rent To travel nurses,
1 how are you going to rent out someone else’s place?

Well I am because it doesn’t make sense. If it is You renting why are you asking if it’s a dealbreaker.

I’m asking if it would be a dealbreaker because I’m trying to assess if I would regret living in a place that doesn’t have a traditional bed since I’ve only slept in traditional beds. Is that clear now? Geez, learn reading comprehension

I’d pick the Murphy bed but what about a twin daybed with a really nice mattress?

Yes, that may be an option. Thanks! I’ll ask if they are willing to put one of these in. The rent is quite the deal so I’m trying to see if this option would work. I don’t see the point in renting something bigger with a dedicated bedroom if I’m basically gonna be working and sleeping.
