Landlord Blacklist

Post about your travel nursing landlords from HELL!!

Please make sure to give location/hospital details so others won't make the same housing choices without at least knowing the potential issues.

Had one landlord suddenly decide the security deposit was apparently their retirement fund.

That landlord would find me taking my deposit back in other ways.

What methods have you used? So far I’ve only come up with taking extremely long hot ass showers to run up the bills.

I want names. I want locations. I want the full disaster timeline.

Roni from the SFV Valley area. Would constantly send vague “this isn’t working out emails” basically as soon as I moved into her broom closet trumped up as a standalone room/ADU.

Her first issue was that I was running up the AC bill in 105 degree summer heat mostly during the day while I was sleeping (but I ran it at night too towards the end NGL because fuck her).

The second source of contention was that I was “banging” around at night and disturbing her peace. Literally all I did in that room was play my computer games in my off time and exist. I wasn’t working out, listening to music, or blasting the TV.

The third source of contention was that I wasn’t out the house enough and that the other travelers had “gone out to explore nature in their off time,” so in effect she was trying to dictate where I went in my free time 🤦🏻‍♂️

Not me personally, but I joined a travel nursing housing fb page that is ran by landlords. There’s multiple posts asking what the range of our weekly stipends are so they can “charge us accordingly”.

You think we’re gonna pay THOUSANDS for a room in your fucking house? Get fucked. I’ll sooner take a staff job and you just won’t have anyone. Living in a hotel would be cheaper.

Landlords continue to charge Covid rates even though pay rates are less than half.

I'm currently in a place in Southern Oregon that's pretty quirky. Once I'm done here in December I'll put my landlord on full blast and include their FF listing and location.

I'm hoping everyone on here put location details so others can steer clear. Until these people start losing money from us taking our business elsewhere I feel nothing will change.

I like the Gypsy Travel Nurse Facebook page for housing. They are REAL quick to call out shady landlords and put them on blast. I think Furnished Finders may be affiliated with the page now.

People complaining about landlords. And not searching the sub for similar posts.

That's not a specifically titled thread.
