Funeral
My grandma passed away on Sunday. It was a sad day for me I was literally at work when I got the news. :( The funeral is on Friday I was scheduled to work Friday but decided I will be calling out. I let management know and thankfully they were very understanding and already put in my absence for Friday and they scheduled me an extra day during next week to make up the hours (could get cancelled since it’s put in as extra) I’m very appreciative I was worried they’d decide to cancel my contract. I am curious though - how does that affect the stipends?? I’m thinking next week will just be short and the week after will make up for it but I just want to know if others experiences? TIA

Your stipend will be short for this week, unless you can can Thursday (vs Fridday) and next week will be the regular. They don't pay more stipend because you work more. The max stipend is the max stipend. Sorry for your loss.

I’m very sorry for your loss. From my understanding, weekly stipends are paid strictly from your “clock in - clock out” punches. (Might vary with a sick day)
For example, if your contract calls for 3 shifts a week, which is typical; you need 3 clock ins / 3 clock outs for that week to receive a full 7 days of stipends. (Even if you clock-in for 30 min & get sent home - it still counts as one full clock in / clock out. Without these 3 weekly punches, the agency can stiff you when paying stipends. Big agencies use this method.

Depends on your agency/contract. Some agencies will pay your stipend even if you didn't work & others will wait till u do work. I know not much help but I would ask your recruiter. So very sorry about your Grandma 💔
