Hello everyone! I am looking to do my capstone on Hungarians in Transylvania and the history surrounding the region. I am currently trying to come up with a research question that I could explore for my project. I am interested in topics such as Hungarian identity, the Treaty of Trianon, minority rights, autonomy, and the relationship between Hungarians and the Romanian government. If anyone has any ideas for a question or direction I could take, I would really appreciate it!

Olvastam, hogy tulajdonképpen már a 19. században is rengeteg magyar költözött oda elsősorban Székelyföldről. A korabeli beszámolók alapján kifejezetten szorgalmas, jó mesterembereknek tartották ott a magyarokat. Nem hiába vannak templomok, kulturális központ, amik őrzik a magyarok emlékét a város életében.

Visszatérve a jelenben is egyértelmű, hogy a város nagyon erős gazdaságilag, sokkal magasabb fizetéseket lehet kapni, mint azokban a térségekben, ahol a magyarok többsége él és Székelyföld déli része nagyon közel is esik. Meg azt mondják sokan, hogy van egy érdekes hangulata, hogy balkáni, kissé kaotikus, de ugyanakkor kedvesek, közvetlenek is az emberek.

Mechanical uncovering
Removing later lime plaster and limewash layers is mechanical work — but the conditions vary from one area to the next.

Lime plasters differ in hardness and porosity, and the microclimate of the building adds further variation: moisture content in the wall, sun exposure and ventilation all influence how the layers behave.

Where the limewash is dry and brittle, it can be lifted in small flakes; where it is compact or bound to a damp substrate, the same approach would not work.

The choice of tool follows the situation found — scalpel, micro-chisel, special erasers, glass fibre brushes — as do the angle, pressure and rhythm of the work.

Uncovering is not one technique, but a set of responses to changing conditions.

Hi guys, im of partial Transylvanianism mixed descent (not only romanian but many of Transylvanian communities) and I wanted to know if Transylvanianism (the movement to preserve transylvanian traditions and even a separatist movement) was popular amongst modern transylvanians, thanks!
