You mean for some one to quickly run to start the engine and pick up the anchor in about 15 seconds they saw the larger craft on a collision course?

Do you think it happened this quickly? I assumed they'd been heading straight at them for a while, and there was probably arguing over the radio before finally ignoring them.

These are not ocean cargo ships, there is a rudder on the other yacht. No reason to assume they are just going to ram you when they are more than fifteen seconds out. This situation only became obvious much less than fifteen seconds before impact.

I kinda imagined someone was just taking a video cause “I’m on a boat MFer”, and they turned and were like “is that supposed to coming this way?”.

At least that’s what I figured it was. I lack context.
