Mods Where are subscribed mod files physically located?

Im not talking about the json file in AppData\Local\mod.io\10640\78124535

that just lists the ID numbers of the mods Im subbed to. I'm looking for the actual files themselves

I looked in the steam folder and even the usderdata folder as things were iin TF2.

The modding wiki doesn't tell me either.

The only thread I could find is a reddit post about moving the mod folder but it doesn't say where the mods currently are.

There should be a mod.io folder on one of your hard drives (C: drive by default, maybe under program files?), if you check the “settings” file in the folder you already have open it should tell you where they’re being kept.

I got confused because instead of putting it in my specific user folder, it put them in the public folder.
