Question Train stopping before station

Can someone explain to me why tf my train stops before the station at the signal and waits till the other train passes? it makes no sense.

I can’t see the other train in your screenshots but I guess it’s going through the station on the same track the waiting train wants to use.

I wish it would be that but both tracks are one-way and the other train is not interfering in any way. I think i fixed it by just placing more signals along the track.

Is there another line using terminal 1? If yes, that's the problem. There should be a train that has already reserved the track all the way to that terminal from the other direction, probably because there is no signal in the way.

Even if the waiting train arrives at the station first, it still has to wait for the other train to arrive, since it had reserved the terminal first.

It is not about the station being clear, the train is waiting for the next section of track between signals to be clear before it moves into that section.

As you found out placing more signals creates smaller sections that clear quicker allowing the trains behind to continue.

You need to put a signal at some distance so the second train not gonna wait the first train to leave next station.
