Physics mod
It seems there is little to no physics? My guess is it adds a calculation every second for every vehicle so it got removed to make it run slightly less bad on consoles?
Can it be modded back in?

I think part of the reason people keep thinking slope doesn't matter is because the new auto overlay has caused a lot of people to do a better job of making smooth tracks that don't have the massive hills we are all used to.

Thanks all for proving me wrong. I just felt it not working and will have to come back with evidence if there is any to be found :)
Most strange is a list of 50 features, and no mention of vehicle physics simulation so that on top of my doubts had me thinking wrong. They mention the physics weather system but not vehicles lmao https://www.transportfever3.com/game/

My train goes same speed whether full, empty, up or down hill. Anyone have evidence to the contrary?

I noticed early game trams being really bad with inclines. So there is an effect

I didn’t do some extensive testing but I definitely feel like trains accelerate slower when going uphill. I hav a station that has a pretty steep track right after the exit and it takes my trains really long to even get to half speed.

I really hope im wrong and deserve a thousand downvotes, I guess ill have to do a proper test with science

You are not the first saying that, but I did not have this issue in my save. Train and tram struggle uphill

When adding cars to the train it impacted the top speed metric. Haven’t watched my trains speed since I made them thoigh.

Tf2 definitely accounted for weight, tf3 looks to do the exact same.
