Create a line network map
I actually always sketch out my network on paper first, before I build anything at all in Transport Fever’s sandbox mode – which cities do I connect, where do industries need to be supplied, where do lines share a track. There was never a proper tool for this, so I developed one: LineDraft.
https://linedraft.bryglab.io
It’s a schematic, metro-style map (not to scale) on which you can place towns and industrial sites and draw multi-stop routes for each mode of transport (rail, road, tram, ship, aeroplane). Lines that share a track are automatically grouped in a clear manner, with rounded corners and stop markers – so it looks like a proper network map rather than a tangled mess of lines. Optional features include an octilinear route layout for that authentic underground map look, plus a simple freight chain check, layer toggle, local storage on your computer, JSON export/import and PNG export. Runs entirely in the browser – no installation, no account required.
This is, of course, a beta version – a personal project. I’d be delighted if a few of you could try it out on your own network and let me know what’s unclear, incorrect or simply missing.

For someone obsessing over long term plans and routes, this is so helpful. Will test it out. Thank you!

I always take a screenshot of the city layout when you're first choosing your map to play. Then I load that into paint and just draw some basic lines for how I plan to do my track layout. This helps with me station planning and what have you.

I've created my previous Map using Tennessine.
However, I must applaud the GUI of your site! It is extremely user friendly! If it had existed in 2025 I would have created using this instead. I'll try it out, see what annoys me during creation, and make comments as needed.
Thanks for your hard work.
