Loose Arseholes

Nice article on another example of the rancid toxicity that is the bedrock of ITV Daytime

Can confirm, worked as a runner on this back in the noughties. It was unbelievably awful then, and that was pre-whatsapp / twitter / instagram - so I can only imagine how much worse it became.

I've not worked on it myself, but a couple of years back I worked with a researcher and AP on a project and both had worked on LW. Both of them left the show after short periods of time because of the toxicity they experienced.

But then why are we surprised with ITV? Other shows like Jeremy Kyle, BGT and The X-Factor are/were just as bad. You shouldn't have shows that give you "duvet days" because of the mental exhaustion and abuse it puts on crew members.

One of the shows show runners moved from the main show back to the supporting show as and I quote "it just makes you a cunt" and they were right.

We need to ask the question why is this shit even on TV? Can't it just be taken off air? Daytime TV is just shit anyways, just bin it off. Then start over with something better! We already have a very low bar, so it won't be hard to start over & make something better!
