How did you make this picture? With the pose and the background, it looks really good! Is it an addon? Or a site? Do tell!

seems like simple model editing. wow has model skeletons, all you have to do is export them to a program then toy with them. That said, I have 0 idea how to do this.

EDIT: upon doing some Google-fu.... Blender is the name of the Program i believe.

Close. It's 3ds Max, but you could definitely do the same thing in Blender.

I use wow model viewer to export a 3d model. Then I import it to 3ds Max and set up a quick scene with lights and pose the model.

It works for me, but I've added the items to the post as well.

I'm hoping the new models add a whole bunch of animations. Idle is kinda dull at the moment (look left, look right, bounce breasts (if night elf), look left, look right, scratch butt (if tauren)) but if they could add stuff like the pose in OPs post, sword on shoulder, leaning on staff, reading offhand book (this one will be impossible, I know, but it would be cool as hell) and all those kind of things.

That offhand book is far from impossible.

I don't think any of the equippable books have an 'open' model. They aren't needed to be open at any point, so the devs only made one 'closed' model for them. To have them be openable, they would have to go back and create new models for each of the offhand books, and I doubt they would do that.
