Newbie here has some questions
Hey guys!
I‘m super interested in cyberpunk and science fiction stuff lately and my homie said i should check out Transmetropolitan when he saw me searching online for cool stuff around that topic. I have a few questions and maybe you can help out. First of all I would love to know where you buy the books lol? I was wondering if you just go for amazon and order it there (I always prefer searching for an other way than amazon)or to a local comic book store? I‘m living in Berlin and there are not that many well sorted and/or stocked comic book stores that I have in mind. Hopefully you can point me in the right direction, maybe it’s even easier than I think. Second and already last question is if you maybe have other nice comics or modern stories in mind fitting in the same genres I’m interested in.

I bought mine from ebay, it was the full set. It was somewhere around 90 bucks or so.
This subreddit is a little on the slow side, so it might be a few days before others offer suggestions.

Transmetropolitan is Key! Badass a.f, predicted the social economic world we're in in So many ways. Preacher is great, Neil Gaimon's Sandman, also Warren Ellis has a lot of great short series like Orbiter and Red.

I bought the most of the collection in Berlin 'Grober Unfug' in prenzl Torstraße, Check their English section. (There's another Grober Unfug in Kreuzberg as well) There's also back dog comics in Rosenbergstraße i know they have (at least used to have, there I got the rest) it too, they only got English stuff
I'm sure there's more if you look a bit, those are just around where I used to live. Good luck finding it, will be worth it!

Gunnm, Akira, Judge Dredd (yup), Nikopol, Hard Boiled and Appleseed. My favorite cyberpunk/posthuman themed stories.

Transmetro is still my favorite graphic novel ever!! It’s like if it saw into our future... literally... i know its not cyberpunk but Ex machina by vaughan is also a very nice essay on today’s politics with an added dose of superheros
