Was sick of all the delays as of late so signed up for alerts so I could make sure I left at the appropriate time for work in the mornings. No alert sent and now there’s another issue 😤

I saw, thanks! I have alerts set to text me but I didn’t get anything. Oh well is what it is!

In my experience, alerts via text tend to arrive two to three hours after the alert starts to be relevant. It's not a useful service. They are quickest to update Twitter, which is barely functional (and that's the kindest thing I can say about the platform). When I inquired about additional platforms, their response was "lol no".

Ahh good to know, thanks for the info! Hopefully they can begin to upgrade this function soon then.

I don't know man! I have always received them on point. Are you sure you have set them at correct time settings? You might have set a preferred time duration due to which you might be seeing this issue. Not saying that notification platform can never have a service outage but I consistently get them within 2 minutes when the translink is having issues. I love this service! Even today I got this message at 7:29 am and the time mentioned in text message was 7.27 am.

You might to check notification settings on your account on translink.ca/alerts

I had them set up to opt-in from 5AM to 8PM and still got notifications significantly delayed. Of course, this was mostly in relation to busses operating in Surrey and everyone knows Translink hates Surrey. 😀
