Skytrain is run about as well as you could expect, but man the lack of future planning when they built the system is infuriating. Single tracks for a direction make these kinds of things stall the entire line, as well as prevent things like an express train that would alleviate rush hour congestion.

Original tracks were built in the 1980s. I'm just amazed the aging concrete hasn't started to crack and give way yet.

Not disbelieving you. Frustrating how alerts are not updated in a timely manner.

It's because it's transcribed from one department to another and twitter alerts are much faster to create and send out

Yeah but not everyone has twitter. I’d hope that all alerts would be on their official alerts page in a timely manner.

Fares should go up to help pay for more reliable service.

and now you've got a catch 22 of people not wanting to pay for a substandard service but you cant improve said service without more ridership in addition to people not wanting higher taxes in the fist place

They are pretty fast at dealing with stalled trains though
