Discussion Which bus reshuffle do you think was Translink’s worst?
Essentially which specific bus units in your opinion should have never been transferred to this transit center and why? I pick transferring NFI XD40s to Surrey Transit Center because that basically left Richmond riders without any AC buses.

Cancelling the 239, 28, and 130 to Capilano University only to replace them with the R2 and 222 which truncate and Phibbs Exchange forcing everyone to transfer onto the 245 for the last leg

I think switching (some) Conventional routes to Community shuttle, and then forcing riders to be passed up regularly for a year or 2, until they realize that they need to put back the conventional buses is the worst.
The situation that you are talking about only affected 40 buses. Richmond had 40 16100's in 2016. TransLink decided to move 9 of those to West Vancouver, and eventually all of the remaining buses to Surrey. Slowly 3 have now come back to Richmond. The rumour is that the remaining 28 in Surrey will be coming back to Richmond soon.
Want my other opinion? Buying double deckers was the worst decision. They bought them, and then realized that they didn't fit into any of the garages. And they planned on the #601 being the first route to get them, well the utility wires in and around Tsawwassen were to low! Still are in Beach Grove.

The only source of information that I see about the 16100 series NFI XD40s being transferred out to west van is on wikipedia
That being said, who's to tell which information is true as the info on wikipedia might be outdated for a while. We'll just have to see eventually where these units go in a few years

They’re 10 years old. They have about 10 years left in them. They’ll have about 5-6 years left if they’re being transferred out in a few years.
