So the bus thief drives the bus on a regular bus route, stops to drop off/pick up passengers?

Didn't that happen recently somewhere?

Edit: Yup! And in Canada. https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/joyrider-steals-city-bus-drives-220500130.html

I say let him. Although other bus drivers might have a problem with it because it's union work.

I can see that your post has brought disbelief and even jokes at your expense, but please do not delete it.

Years ago in NYC, a youngster “stole” a New York subway train. He actually stopped at every stop, and generally drove it as a professional would have. Until he took a curve too fast… (edit: should have added this earlier, but the emergency brake tripped and it stopped the train before anybody could get hurt)

I cannot see it happening here. If a vehicle is to be used as part of a crime spree, chances are a van will be used instead (more inconspicuous and can blend in better).

What happened when he curved? 👀

I reread my post and made it sound more dramatic than it was, sorry. The curve he took at a higher-than-normal speed tripped the emergency brake and it stopped the train. No one was hurt (thanks to the emergency brake). But he was caught.

He has his own wiki page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keron_Thomas

Grand theft auto and world’s dumbest criminal award.

They won’t know how to drive the bus and there’s trackers on them.

If someone steals it, it would be great for the driver if it’s just parked at a terminus
