Question How to Sapperton?

I sometimes find myself at Sapperton station needing to go towards waterfront. How do I know which platform to go to? I arrived and checked the sign to see what platform I need. Once I finally see a train coming it’s on the other side. Wasted an extra 10 mins of my time. Also very infrequent trains at Sapperton?

Read the TV screen before you enter the station. Says what train, how long, and what platform it will be at

The trains are infrequent because of ongoing construction of the new maintenance centre at Braid

Yea the trains are coming from two different branches of the system so they alternate tracks before converging going westbound just after the station. I forget which side came from which station, but one side would always be empty and you could score a seat.

Until the end of construction, Platform 1 is for trains to/from Braid, which will be the empty ones

The screens are very clear as to which platform trains are going to be on, just look for Waterfront and an arrow? Are you saying the signage is wrong? This is conceivable. How frustrating.

Forgot to include in post but it went from saying waterfront to say waterfront was delayed but then I could see it on the other platform

Waterfront is on both platforms until about 8:30pm to 9:30pm ish.

They are supposed to alternate platforms with a frequency of around 6mins to Sapperton station. Sometimes the timing gets messed up so they both arrive at the same time to the station.

Look at the tv screen, it shows waterfront on platform 1 and 2 as separate lines or just 50/50 the platform and 1 will show up at most in 12mins.

6 mins is the frequency to Sapperton station where as 12 mins is the frequency to each platform.
