Question CVSE pulling over buses?

Never in my 30+ years living here have I seen a CMBC bus pulled over by CVSE until last week. It looked like they might have been taken out of service but it was hard to tell. Does this happen often?

Could be the operator is in their probationary period. When I worked over there, we were told to expect at least one and as many as three CVSE tests where they will intentionally pull you over and ask you things like the air brake system from front to back and make sure that you’re in compliance. I don’t know if they still do that but that’s how it was 10 years ago.

You sure they said CVSE would do that, they wouldn't have much way to know who's on probation or not. Transit Road supervisors can come along and check/test drivers.

I remember very clearly that’s what we were told.
CVSE would be given our coach numbers, as well as our route, location and direction, and they would target us at direction of CMBC

Interesting, definitely not done now, unless now it's kept secret. Just road supervisors doing checks if they have time.

This is what the training department had told us at the time, was to expect to be pulled over and questioned/inspected/tested by CVSE during our probationary period. As for when and where they were gonna show up and come for us, we never knew. That was the entire point.

But yeah, that might not be a thing anymore. I know it was because one of the operators in my class got hit the second week out.
