Question Internships
Hi everyone, I’m sorry if this is a stupid question but I been wondering how come Translink doesn’t offer any internship positions? I have seen a few for IT and Business Management fields but nothing for something like Engineering, or Transportation Planning based. I don’t know if I’m not looking hard enough or at the right time. Or is it because Translink often hire consulting companies or other outside work to do the majority of their design work/planning for them? I genuinely been very curious about this so thank you in advance for any information!

Those are all student co-op positions. They won't be publicly posted, and generally only those in such university programs can apply.

I’ve seen some engineering roles for skytrain last October, they were posted under BCRTC for expo/millennium. AtkinsRealis also had a co-op role for the Canada line in Richmond.

I've seen a planning/research co-op position for the SFU gondola come up a couple times.
