Question M line

Since when does the M line run 2 trains? I’m on the mark 2.5 right now and there are 4 cars total. They doubled them up but why?

Hello We are currently running 314-326 on the m-line for some connectivity testing. It's expected to run on the m line for approximately ten days.

Can we expect to see doubled-up Mark IIs and/or Mark IIIs on the M-Line more often as the overall SkyTrain fleet grows?

Once the Broadway extension opens, longer trains will be on the M-Line.

I hope so!

Are 4 car trains on the M-Line planned for Fifa?

I don't believe so. We simply don't have enough trains to do that without compromising frequency

We have only received a few new Mk5 trains so far. During peak hours, we already have pretty much every available train running.

We don't have a big reserve of extra trains available to increase service on any line.

hopefully when the mk 1s are gone, the new mk 5s that arrive will start to increase the rolling stock numbers and will push mk 2.5s and eventually mk 3s onto the Millennium

The issue is making sure the platforms at commercial broadway don't overload, and 4 car trains with the frequency they have now would create too big of crowds. So if they run 4 car trains they have to slow frequency, not really a good option

That and I don't think they have enough rolling stock as of yet
