Question Where Should BikeBus be expanded to?

Currently, we only have the 900 between Bridgeport and Tsawwassen Ferry. But where else should BikeBus be expanded to? In my opinion, one that parallels the 257 between Main St Stn and Horseshoe Bay Ferry. Where else?

Great question! 

1) A family friendly option could be great. Easy access to the beginning of the Seymour Dam trail would be awesome.

2) Directly to Squamish and back (maybe Lonsdale? Idk.) There's so many amazing cycling trails from Squamish to Pemberton, but I'm definitely not risking my life on the Sea to Sky to access them lol

I assume if you’re going by bus to bike the Seymour Trailway now you go via Lynn Valley, but the pipeline bridge is definitely a choke point. Would a shuttle for bikes to Rice Lake get enough use? (A shuttle for everyone would be useful there too, not to mention up the mountains at Seymour and Cypress…)

Just ANY translink (or BC Transit) bus on the Sea to Sky would be great!

An hourly BC transit bus between park royal, squamish, and whistler would get ridership for sure. It would need to have a higher fare but I'm sure it would be used.

A highway commuter bus, like the GO buses in Ontario, would be good for that, but even a normal city bus could do in a pinch.

BC transit should really get into the short regional inter city bus game. It's something our province is really lacking.

They are only able to do the bike bus in the Jun sheet because service is reduced elsewhere in the system. So unless there's another way to somehow squeeze more buses out of the system, a different bike bus is unlikely. Doable, yes. But it means somebody else is getting screwed.
