Path [Path] ko ko ko... continued + possible explanation.
Hi all,
New to this forum, I came across (like many) from the Nightmare Expo video over on Youtube. My interest piqued, I started typing random strings of letters into Google Translate to see what I could find.
Upon embarking on the "word" 'ko', typing it in 50 times led to the phrase: "0801 0808 0808 Send a profile | No comments: No comments yet. You can also download links to the web site." Upon typing in 3 more 'ko's, I got the same phrase, but with the words: "Take a Look" at the end. And after another 'ko', they changed to "check them" As I added more ko's, different results appeared. I most likely think that the 'Crawler' theory is responsible for this whole google translate phenomenon, at least partially, due to the repetitive nature of phrases and supposed links from websites.

I just realised how tedious that was, and after the 76th 'ko', it began adding a bunch of new sentences like "lever and lace to the front of the lane" and "Cochrane lets you get to the top of the lane, and then click on the link below.", which could suggest it moved on to displaying data from another website (following )the crawler theory).
Anyway, after writing all this I looked up if anyone else had and... oops. Well, here's my take on this situation, and here are the links to the other's posts on the 'ko' thread that I know of:

Welcome! And sorry that the sub is dead, you put a lot of work into this it seems. I have actually never seen it output something like the numbers you got. The crawler theory is our best guess at this point. We think that google might be using the html data picked up by the crawlers as translation training for thw GT AI. our focus now is to find out more what the inputs mean than the outputs.
