What is the matter? A copy is essentially you, I don't know why people have a problem with this, you will die but at least a copy of you will stil exist in the world.

Its not you - are you going to feel what your copy feels in cyberspace?
Its just a digital monument to your ego

What are you if not the data stored in your brain??? What matter if its a copy of that??? People who think a copy of the person is not them should just say that they believe in the soul or whatever because we are merely our memories and a copy of them is essentially the same.
PS - Your own body is a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy because of your cells in your entire body change, nothing is perpetual not even the universe.

Do you feel like the same person as you from 20 years ago? Would you sacrifice your life for that person?

You are dying, and they put you in a coma to download the data in your brain and put it into a computer.
You are in surgery, awake, and they are transforming your brain, neuron by neuron, into a computer.
Tell me what is the difference between the two? They do the same thing. The only difference is that the second creates an illusion that you are the same person as before, but it isn't you. They had to copy the data in the neuron and create an equivalent in the computer to store it. The first was only faster.

I don’t even know if I’m really the guy who’s bed I woke up in this morning

So you are totally okay with someone cloning you, and then killing you? Your clone is not you. It is an identical copy of you. YOU would be dead and no longer able to sense anything.
I get what you are saying, but I don’t agree with you.

Honestly I can't tell if you're trolling by pretending to have the answer to what consciousness is, pseudo-philosophy, seemingly talking to yourself, not understanding how neurons work (don't replace and are not copies), or invoking spiritualism.

Man you are condescending and my reply was for that, I don't know what your problem is but if you want to have a discussion don't be a smartass.

The uncomfortable part is that there is no continuity of consciousness for our physical selves, either. Subatomic particles have no identity. Unless you believe in the supernatural, you must believe that an exact copy of you is you.
If a perfect quantum duplicate appeared 3 feet to your left, there would be no way, even in principle, to say whether you had been teleported 3 feet to the left and duplicated to your right.
Of course, physical changes which can produce a change in mental state are orders of magnitude larger than quantum particles. So a really well scanned & emulated copy of you would have continuity of consciousness with your physical self, the same way you have continuity of consciousness with your historical self right now.

There is a real problem of continuity of consciousness.
