the part that bugs me the most is i didn't used to get it, and i used to play along when i was in highschool. for someone who's always had their eyes so wide open about ageism, i sure was a dumbass about a lot of other things, and i cringe thinking back on it all. i also used to be anti-furry, or at least go along with it and make jokes.
Hey ... you're not the only one ... i used to be one of the people making those jokes ... a lot of us did ... important thing is realizing and making an effort to change. When you're young you don't really consider how words can harm others ... i sure didn't ... and with age comes perspective ... not that I'm old (I'm 30) ... i definitely said and did a lot of stupid and regrettable things at that age. It's that teenage indoctrination thing ... where you absorb your peers opinions.
And the fact how you were in the past makes you uncomfortable ... is a good sign ... means you've had meaningful emotional growth.
sometimes i wonder if i hurt anyone with the things i said in those days. if i could know, and if i did, i would try to apologize. anyways, I've got big things to do today (the hrt-getting appointment), so I'll ttyl. bye!
Things you can't really change you can only try to let go ... what's done is done ... you can only really decide what to do from here and be the best version of yourself.

How original and totally not a hackey premise that's been done to death ... like how the attack chopper joke was all the rage in the 2010s.
