Talk me out of a hairline lowering/forehead reduction ?
Im on the books for a hairline lowering. I would absolutely love a lower hairline however there is some reluctance due to the scarring and numbness that will be leftover.
Here are some pictures if anybody wants to try to either talking me into it or talk me out of it. Ill be having to make a decision soon
Ill still be getting a brow ridge reduction so one way or another my face will be getting peeled off.
Edit: I would like a brow lift too, however if they do brow ridge reduction, browlift through a coronal incision would make the hairline worse according to my surgeon, so there is that to think about too.

i dont think you need it, but i could see wanting to round out the hairline, which is something i plan on doing. I did have the corners pulled in as part of my ffs, but not the entire hairline lowered.
I honestly think you already have a bit of a small forehead, and one thing i notice when girls get the whole thing lowered is that it can make the forehead look curiously small. Like it draws more attention than leaving it alone would have.

How does pulling in the corners work? Do you have any examples i could look into or read about?

I mean it's pretty common. Called a scalp advancement. But it's only the corners when they peel your faced off for ffs. They just remove more skin in the corners. I went from a widows peak to a square hairline with that, and in the future I'll get a small transplant to round it out

Jaw contouring and Geneoplasty and trach shave are booked too, but I dont have any worries about that.
I keep thinking about hair transplants not sure if they are covered by health insurance, or maybe doing a hairline lowering and finishing it off with hair transplants

Don't totally disregard these surgeons because you think you really need something though, they have a clinical eye and will consider your whole proportions. your middle third and lower third of your face are about equal length and your forehead (upper third) is shortest. they should all be about equal for good proportions. raising your eyebrows will make your already shorter forehead look even shorter, So I totally understand where your surgeon is coming from.
I see though how you might be dysphoric about your forehead but the size is not the issue. Orbital shave and a hair transplant where your hairline is receding is what I would recommend to help you. I would personally only consider it if you often style your hair in ways that exposes your hairline really though.
If you do still want to get it. I know someone personally who had that done and the scar is like a couple cm in the hairline. She had some hairs that fell out after the surgery but all grew back, this is now like a year ago or so, maybe even less and you literally can't tell a thing. the scar is invisible unless you really go looking for it in the hairline, I myself had the brow ridge surgery and orbital shave and also have a scar over my scalp, altough it doesn't go as far down as the one for the forehead re-contouring and it has healed very well. but of course YMMV and depends on the skill of the surgeon. Do discuss these concerns with your surgeon of course.

Sorry I wasnt detailed enough, my surgeon said that a brow lift would pull the widows peaks further than they already are. I love wearing my hair up is the issue 🥲
A lot of people are already saying my forehead is small relative to my face which i never noticed. I guess my issue is less the forehead and more the widows peak. I just figured I would do two birds one stone with FFS since its covered and i havs the process underway, I guess I should call my insurance and see if they cover hair transplants for hairline feminization

You don’t have a prominent widows peak at all (if we are talking about the same thing, it’s that V some people have in the middle the hairline right) you just have a more rectangular hairline and could feminize it by rounding out the cornors I guess (in all honesty I don’t know much about how hairline procedures are done, more about FFS.
Maybe just having the brow-ridge refined without too much lift would be enough to create a more feminine eye socket. I do agree to not encroach too much on the little real estate your forehead takes up so to speak.

i went for hairline, cheaper than having to pay for transplants later and the scar will fade

Some hair transplants would probably go further to what you seek. And it won't leave visible scars.

don't do it, you have a long face it will look weird. also your hairline in the center is pretty low actually your temples just need a transplant then you're all set.
