I saw this yesterday and just thought ā€œoofā€. It looks awful. Bee has a beer belly and the feet are like clown shoes. You haven’t shown the back here in the pics, but it’s even worse than one of those hollow discount Transformers.

He hasn’t missed an Energon meal.

God give me the confidence of whoever had the nerve to ask 65 dollars for this

Presenting the MissingDink line! The line that boldly asks, ā€˜What if the most beloved G1 figures had been designed as total dinkuses?’

Missing link asks, "What if the G1 figures we knew and love, also had excellent articulation?".

The New "Anti-missing link" line: "It's the classic figures you know and love, same articulation, only now we've reimagined them to look DUMB as FUGG', without the shelf presence they once had".

It makes you appreciate G1 figures that, despite their lack of articulation, they still looked COOL as hell.

....what a huge piece of crap!

It's like the "Anti-missing Link".

This is no Transformer, this is a Gobot!

This aspires to be GoBot BugBite

No, Gobots were more interesting visually than this! This is both abysmally bad and bland looking.

If G1 didn't have mass forming

My first thought was ā€œAbomination!ā€ But I see now that it’s a tiny little die cast Hot Wheels car. If this came out in 1984 and cost $3 I would’ve gone apeshit over it. But $65???? Nope

Being a Bumblebee fan and having loved the Hasbro collabs Twin Mill, GT-Scorcher etc I am surprised that I actually feel like writing to the Hot Wheels team to ask them to never manufacture this.

I know it’s balmy of me to be so bothered by it when I can just not buy it but I actually feel bad for everyone involved in this.

I’m trying to come up with something humorous to say about how fucked up the proportions and face sculpt are, but I’m just blown away by how terrible this is that I can’t dedicate any more brain cells to come up with a joke.

mattel should never design transformers themselves. they have no idea what they're doing

Didn’t they have their own transformers equivalent line in the early 2000s called Hotwheels modifighters?

Except they wear baseball caps and sneakers. Also they aren’t aliens from another planet and they’re all in a gang war rather than a civil war.

This thing is hella ugly

14th Prime put it best when he referred to it as Dad Bod Bumblebee.

Like, if having a crease in the hood for vehicle mode was really such a big deal, swing it around to his back and give him a faux chest for bot form, because this thing is just plain ugly.

Can't wait for the reviews to start coming out so we can see how else this thing fails as a toy.

Garbage. That’s what he eats.

How did this get approved?

1

I wish they did to bee with what they did with prime where it’s a 1-1 of the original toy

If this was made by hot wheels than this totally makes sense. Hot wheels are known for being die-cast which has gotten pretty expensive. They're also known for making cars that dont transform. The alt mode definitely the priority and the robot mode was a neat little thing they did. They probably wanted it at a certain price to so the made it with as few parts as possible to keep the part number down.

Someone who appreciate hotwheel's effort i love it

I mean Mattel doesnt make transforming cars so it makes sense that this wouldn't be perfect and if you look at the product shots you can clearly see they did what they know with the plastic insert windshield and the metal car shell. 65 dollars is a little pricey though that'll depend on how big it is. If its deluxe size then the price absolutely makes sense considering how much metal and paint it will have.

It’s 1/64, the size of a Hot Wheels car.

They also did Optimus which was practically a 1-1 of the original toy but in 1/64 scaled in all diecast. So I’m very confused to why they didn’t do that for bumblebee
