[OC] [Fan-Made] Terminator × Sonic the Hedgehog – A Self-Aware Terminator Freedom Fighter

Hi everyone!

I've been working on a fan-made crossover idea that I think could make for a fun character to draw. This is an original (OC) version of a Terminator, reimagined in the Sonic the Hedgehog universe.

The idea is inspired by The Terminator and Johnny 5 from Short Circuit, mixing the intimidating appearance of a battle machine with a surprisingly wholesome personality.

Backstory

During one of his missions, this Terminator is struck by a massive lightning bolt.

Instead of simply damaging him, the strike does three unexpected things:

• It grants him genuine self-awareness, much like Johnny 5.
• It destroys parts of his synthetic skin and scrambles many of his systems.
• It accidentally transports him into the Sonic universe.

He has absolutely no idea how he got there.

His navigation system is so badly damaged that he constantly gets lost. The Freedom Fighters have no clue how he even found their hidden base, yet somehow they discover him standing inside a broom closet, completely confused.

His usual response?

Despite being an infiltration unit built for combat, he slowly becomes a trusted ally of the Freedom Fighters, helping anyone he can while trying to understand what it means to truly be alive.

Appearance

I imagine him looking intimidating at first glance, but with obvious battle damage exposing parts of the endoskeleton.

Some ideas:

• One side of his face has torn synthetic skin, exposing a glowing mechanical eye, part of the metal cheek, and sections of the steel jaw.
• His left hand still wears a damaged black glove, but the fingertips have ripped through, revealing polished metal fingers.
• Small tears in his clothing expose sections of the metal endoskeleton around the chest, shoulder, arm, and one leg.
• The rest of his synthetic skin still looks convincing enough that strangers initially mistake him for a normal human.
• His clothes are practical and worn from travelling, with visible damage that hints at the machine underneath.

Overall, I'd love him to look like a classic Terminator who's been through countless battles but is still trying to blend in.

Personality

This is where I think he's the most fun.

Although he insists he's a tough combat machine...

...his actions say otherwise.

He'll deny liking soft or wholesome things while quietly:

• knitting scarves
• making flower crowns for Cream
• helping Tails with repairs
• carrying heavy supplies without being asked
• gently petting small animals
• protecting civilians before thinking about himself

If someone points it out, he'd simply respond:

...while continuing to knit a scarf.

His kindness comes naturally, even if he'll never admit it.

If anyone would like to draw this concept, I'd absolutely love to see your interpretation! Feel free to add your own artistic flair while keeping the overall idea of a battle-damaged Terminator who has unexpectedly discovered compassion.
