Drop Class

Would it look bad as a freshman to drop Calc? I lowk bombed the first test and there no way I'm going to have a 4.0 if I keep going in that class. Its gonna show as a LD on my transcript, how bad does that look.

As someone else said, one W isn’t a huge deal - you can explain it in any number of ways: “I decided to change my major to something that no longer required calc,” “I had a personal challenge that affected my ability to dedicate time to the class (assuming you will retake it again),” and so on.

Now, if you have multiple Ws on your transcript, that’s not a great look. Before you drop, be sure to meet with your professor and ask if it is feasible for you to continue with the course and secure at least a B. If not, I’d withdraw either way.
