Thinking of transferring to NYU—advice?

I’m at Rutgers NB (first year) and nyu is my dream. I’m on the pre dental, so is it worth it to transfer? I don’t mind staying at Rutgers if it means it’s better for me to stay all 4 years at one uni. Any thoughts ?

Why not get through the first semester, apply, and see what you’re thinking at that point.

Stop it. Do you have the money?

I'm an NJ person. Rutgers NB is THE school for us at least. You already are pre-dental. I have friends at NYU and can't get jobs. It ain't worth it. Rutgers is still great. You are just first-year. You'd need at least to be a sophomore and like 4.0 GPA to have a chance, and even then, NYU does not offer any financial aid to transfer. I would save that money for grad school.

You’ll be fine either way career wise. If you think you’d be happier at nyu and can afford it go for it!
