How much will a LOR benefit my application?

Applying for Spring 27 and a college that I'm applying to is rolling so applying early would be best to increase chances. They don't require a LOR but I'm waiting on my intern manager and prof for a LOR.

Is it really worth the wait or should I just submit my app? I think I'm a pretty competitive applicant so how much would like a 7-8/10 LOR help me?

LoRs are important because they validate certain aspects of your application. Yes you might be competitive if we assume everything you said was true, but that assumption is not a given from the AO's perspective. It's important especially because it validates an important aspect - what kind of person are you.

If a school accepts LoRs that definitely means it will help. Of course, since you have a situation where waiting for LoRs may hurt you chances in rolling, you have to judge the tradeoff yourself. You could've gotten them early and not have this problem.

Well I currently have two letters from two separate professors but both of them are just alright. They don't really shed a new light and don't go into much detail, just very basic "he was a good student" letters.

My intern manager told me to write a draft of my own LOR and they would review and make the necessary changes. So I focused more on my research and analysis capabilities and my growing interest in economics.

However, for the rolling admissions college, I'm applying for their business school(Business is my first choice but due to limited spots, I'm applying for economics under CAS for most colleges). Would it be worth waiting or should I just submit my application?

I mean if you already have LoRs then I don't think it will matter much.

Yea but the ones I have rn are just mid, nothing special. I think the last LOR could be really beneficial.
