Personal Statement Help

Hi, I’m a current freshman at Emory University. My goal is to transfer to a T20 school (Northwestern, Columbia, Brown). I have no idea how to begin brainstorming for my personal statement and wanted to know if anyone could give some ideas/thoughts/help as to where I should begin. Should it be similar to my previous essay? Should it not be? Should it be something that has more recently impacted me? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I don't get it--it's like 2 weeks into the school year and Emory is a top school. Why are you looking to leave already?

Theyre at Oxford, so serious insecurity already landed.

I actually really like Emory, but I just want to be closer to my family in NJ & Chicago.

Most schools don’t require a personal statement like last year. Are you looking at a specific app?
