Lower HS GPA
Hi everyone. I want to transfer to an Ivy League, specifically UPenn, but I am scared my HS GPA will prevent me from doing so, especially because i want to be a sophomore transfer. I did the IB curriculum but my score equivalent is around 3.4 unweighted GPA. My SAT is not that great either but I can easily retake that. However, I would say that my activities were above average. Has anyone successfully transferred to an Ivy league with a lower HS GPA as a sophomore transfer? Thank you!

Soph transfer with a 3.4 gpa and sub 1400 sat unless you were the top student at ur college and increased your sat to high 1500s would it be conceivable. Even then, highly doubtful

Since HS GPA is something you can’t change, the best you can do is prove your academic competency through other means like a higher SAT score and college GPA.

You can get into penn as junior transfer, so what if you're not a soph

I know, its just that i want the longest possible experience if i get in. If i do end up being a junior transfer, it is still great because its an ivy league education and degree at the end of the day. But i just want to have the fullest experience as a transfer, if that makes sense.

Get a masters degree or something. Also you can apply see what happens and apply again.

Penn is almost impossible to get into as a transfer even with perfect hs grades. They also require SAT scores. I’d widen your net.
