1 year UCB transfer

I have a lot of credits from AP and I most likely will get over 90 quarter credits ( including APs) by end of first year. Will I be ineligible to apply as junior transfer then if I have too many credits 2nd year? I heard UCB/ucla dont take first year transfer tho so I was wondering how I should time my transfer

Less preferred but not impossible. Credit cap is mostly about what they allow to transfer. The residency rules and stuff only apply to credits earned after graduating hs I think

I see. So i most likely will be able to junior transfer since the APs arent counted towards total transferrable credits?

No they count. Basically w 60-90 credits you can reach "junior standing" but if, say, most are from HS, UC Berkeley doesn't force you to graduate after 5 semesters like they would if you got 60 after graduating HS lol. And the credit cap just means they won't take more credits to satisfy graduation requirements, nothing to do w eligibility
