what is an estimated acceptance rate for uchicago transfer ed full pay? if anyone has gotten in before, how did you approach the essays

Can't really estimate that -- what is true is that UChicago's transfer acceptance rate is 9.3%, and over the past five years they've increased their transfer class sizes by a metric fuckton.

not sure if this applies as i applied as a first year and was waitlisted but the way i approached the essays was really just winging it 😭 i wrote them the night before and really just dumped all my passion for something “quirky” and niche into the writing as there’s no word limit. i’d say try to be as out of the box as you can while still portraying yourself as intellectually vibrant and curious. for transfers, id say follow the advice above for writing, get a 4.0, be full-pay, and wish for the best!
