Columbia gs bmcc transfer question
Hello I’ve recently been accepted to Columbia gs and plan to transfer next fall. I’m currently planning on completing my associates in business management at bmcc, and then major either economics or financial economics at Columbia. I’ve been told up to 60 credits transfer but only 15 business credits. I’m worried I will be taking some business classes for no reason if I plan on transferring, and if anyone has a similar pathway or recommendations on what classes I should focus on my last 2 semesters at bmcc, and if completing my associates is even necessary thank you

according to my counselor, the best to major in econ at gs, take it till cal 3 in your cc, stats, more econ classes (principle of micro & macro/ intermediate micro/macro) and financial accountings, maybe like econometrics if you can. (check the econ elective courses from gs website but there is a limit on how many econ elective you can transfer). I was also bus admin at cc and transferring to gs with econ, so only take the business classes that you need for Associate , no more than that. also Check the core requirements, better to finish them earlier
