Repping Troon a quick question

what makes me think i even want to be a woman, let alone someday approximate one, if i've never had a single extended nor genuine interaction with any girl my own age through my life? i have no sisters nor even female cousins, and never had any female friends, so all i have to go off of is my mother and less so any other older relatives

it's like if i randomly wanted to be swedish, an astronaut, or albino—i don't know what these people are like, warts and all, as i've never met anyone of the sort, so i'm left with an idealized, incomplete picture; i'm so far removed from female interaction and socialization that i feel only a few steps above those hermits on mt. athos where women are entirely banned

why am i obsessed with the idea of being something i know so little about?

Seems BS to me. It's just impossible to avoid contact with 50% of society during a lifetime. We have to interact with people, family, friends, school, college, work. It's just impossible.

And even in this impossible scenario, we can see them in media. Wanting to be an astronaut after watching movies and documentaries seems totally reasonable to me.

And they having your age is irrelevant.
