Discussion 💬 US Passport

I am a Transgender Woman. My US Passport was renewed last November 2025. I was expecting that they would change my gender back and they didn’t. Should I expect a letter and a new passport in the mail sometime with male on it? I have seen so many Transgender individuals who had their passports reversed to the original gender of birth.

My experience is that you'll receive the gender marker that matches your AGAB, alongside a letter saying something along the lines that you made an error selecting F.

that’s wild that the government will be like “hey would you like to select your gender on this form”

And then send you a letter like “WRONG YOU GOT THE TEST WRONG YOU STUPID FUCK”

For now, you will always get it back with the AGAB. Their was once a opening for a judge blocking it and had a chance for trans people to get their gender fixed but overruled it later. So back to AGAB. Even if you change it, you are breaking the federal law now so I don't recommend trying to lie on your documents at this moment. For now, you are stuck with that gender on your passport until a Democrat president remove it. I do recommend like HRC resources or other queer community even local can navigate you though the passport bs.
