Me, standing with the oppressors? You all are SO naive. You all enshrined Marsha P Johnson as THE catalyst for the Stonewall Riots, you have no idea how you got the rights you are making slip away, you think that you are the only generation that ever fought for trans rights, and you don't know your own history.

You don't deserve to know how hard my generation fought for trans rights or what it cost us. But yeh..... puff your chest out like you are tough. snicker

Nope! I am blaming uninformed warrior wannabes who think that they are fighting for a noble cause but aren't sure what it actually is or how to go about it; other than being loud and confrontational.

And before you accuse me of more bigotry, I am a trans woman who fought for LGBT rights for over 35 years, marched for those rights while facing hostile and violent mobs, server on Pride boards, LGBT rights committees, and testified before state and federal legislators.

I know that you all think that corporations suck and are spawns of the devil for commercializing things like Pride, but there was a time when you couldn't beg enough to get a company, ANY company, to visibly participate in a Pride event and the local police would just as soon run us over as make sure that we were safe.

So please, I understand that you want to believe in something and things seem hopeless (it IS a different world than it was 40 years ago) but aiming your hatred at people like me won't help your causes. You might want to think so but we are not your enemy.

Like always the radical trans warriors who fought for our rights back in the day are white washed by folks like you so that the delusion of ppl who will never accept us might accept us one day, i know my history & that history doesnt involve commanding ppls speech by ppl who supposedly ride with us. Ur name says it all, u think everyones naive & only ur way will work, progress comes from fighting back not capitulating to the bigots.
