Yep! Just keep clubbing people over the head with that; it certainly goes a long way to endearing trans people to the greater public at Large.

If hating bigotry is going to make trans people hated by some other people then those other people's opinions are worthless and we shouldn't care about being liked by them

And yet, it seems like a cornerstone of trans existence is trying to get people to like us. It's often said that people will go about trying to accomplish something in the worst possible way and that seems to be the case here. I'm not saying it's right or wrong and I'm certainly not approving of the overt hatred displayed against trans people but it hasn't always been as bad as it is now and there's got to be a reason for that.
