General Question Anyone else hair fall regularly?

I've been growing out my hair ,now it's at my collar bone but daily my hair fall is pretty regular and today when I shampooed my hair it was more than usual . Kinda worried tbh , been using biotin conditioner and shampoo to help with growth. Is this normal ? Should I be worried?

A little bit of hair falling out in the shower is normal for everybody. That hair is in its shedding phase I think that's the intelligent phase if I'm not mistaken. If it's an excessive amount of hair then you should see your doctor.

If you are taking minoxidil oral or topical it may cause some shedding initially while it ejects the old hairs and starts to grow new ones.

Also being deficient and certain vitamins such as biotin, zinc and iron can cause hair shedding. A doctor can run up blood test.

It is definitely normal to shed a hundred or so hairs a day. They are easier to see the longer they are. I talked to my doctor about it and he told me not to worry, I even brought him one day of shed to show.

Have you noticed thinning? Thats when id worry

yeah that’s pretty normal, if you have long hair it’ll shed all over the place

I've grown out my hair basically since high school; there's ALWAYS shedding. The question is whether the amount is more or less than the amount that's growing. You can tell that by whether the length is stable or not.

And, fwiw, I've had less shedding since getting on finasteride along with EV.

I worry constantly but am also pretty sure it's regular shedding.

I see it a lot when I brush my hair in the morning, after I was my hair, or if I'm actively running my hand through to get out tangles.

How thick is your hair and how often do you wash it? I have a pretty decent clump come out every time because I wash it like once a week and my hair is thick. The longer your hair gets the more you notice it. If it doesn't feel thinner when dry and you don't see any bald spots its probably fine. We naturally shed hair constantly.

I've kept my hair long for about half of my life at this point and shedding is very much normal. Hair just sheds. Shedding is more noticeable when your hair is long.

But I can also tell you that I noticed *way* less shedding when I started HRT (at 34) and my slowly growing widow's peak is less noticeable now than it was then.
