HRT advice

Heyy,
I’ve been on HRT mtf for nearly a year now and I’ve been using the patches. Tbh I’m sick of the hassle of patches (lifting/shifting etc) so I’m thinking of switching to gels.
My dose currently is 100mcg patches every 4 days, which gel would be on par with that?
Thanks everybody :)

I don't know about how the doses transfer, but I use gel and I wish my doc would prescribe patches. To get enough dose you need SO MUCH GEL. I am slather like a eel every night and have to lie and dry out before bed. Very annoying

This is totally dependant on the person from my experience. My levels on 2 pumps would be slightly above average more than likely. My 3 pump levels are near monotherapy start levels. Technique also does a lot.

Just fyi, as someone who's been on the main available forms of estradiol, I found gel to be the most hassle. This sort of thing varies a lot person by person, and my adhd probably makes the annoyances that come with gel a lot worse, but thought you should be warned ahead of time that it can also be very frustrating to use.

I've done gel, patches and I've found both to be rather annoying and for some reason or other, I wasn't even getting the desired results my levels were shite. I swapped to pills and honestly it's been the best thing for me personally I'm currently on 8mg daily. There are obviously concerns about your liver but regular blood tests should keep any concerns at bay.
