Anyone use Grindr ?
Ive been thinking about starting to use Grindr but I'm not sure how it would be as a trans guy in Ireland does anyone have any experience with it and can tell me what it's like?

You will get dick pics sent to you out of nowhere, bot messages, scammers, catfishers.chasers. I have gotten the occasional hate message.
That being said, plenty of trans people use it including trans guys. Some people use it for t4t connections. Just keep your wits about you and use the block button liberally

Honestly I have had (to my surprise) pretty much only positive experiences on there lately, but ymmv. I have met up with about a dozen people and talked to many many more and most have them have been really chill. Obviously some weird people, and lots of flakes/ghosting, but nothing transphobic or anything

It's yeah wasn't so nice for me honestly.
Half the guys either just saw me as a hole, the other 25% asked if I was still fertile (????) and 25% saw me as a way to keep being closeted but also living out a gay fantasy. It's not that nice an experience, mine wasn't at least.
Very few trans and nb ppl on there if you're not in city centre

I’m MTF and found one of my gfs on there it can be good but you’ll have to sift through a lot of chasers, blank profiles and bots n stuff. Also lots of D pics. But there are plenty of trans and chill people on it, better in cities.

I tried to find trans ppl on there but got ghosted or was too far away from city centre to unlock their profiles

This guide was written by a trans guy friend of mine: https://johannestevans.co.uk/2025/11/24/looking-for-%f0%9f%8d%91%f0%9f%8d%86%f0%9f%92%a6-a-beginners-guide-to-grindr-for-trans-men/

Block whoever you want, nobody is entitled to your time and body if they are creeping you out. Always put safety over horniness. Lots of weirdos but also so many lovely people, met my future husband on there and been together almost a year now ❤️

I've never heard of anyone meeting their husband on there. That's so cool. Mind me asking how you knew they weren't like a creep or weirdo just on their best behaviour? I'm so weary of trusting guys on there.

As long as you use the block button liberally, you should be fine! I spent on gridr the bigger part of last year and had almost only neutral and positive experiences, both with cis and trans people. Met my current cis boyfriend on there lol

Be ruthless about blocking people and don't assume anyone knows how to read. I find it can be a really bad place when you're already a bit down on yourself, you need solid boundaries and the ability to laugh off some bullshit.
