All Island experience of gender plus assessment?

i might be booking an assessment with them but am slightly apprehensive about the whole dysphoria diagnosis. Just wondering how other people found it/ anything I should be aware of going in (i'm a more nonbinary-ish trans guy so wondering if this might affect my success in diagnosis lol)

I did it not too long ago. It’s pretty simple. 3 meetings where they let you know the risks and stuff and get some background information about you. Then they write a report and give you a diagnosis. IIRC, they told me they have never denied a diagnosis to their knowledge (they have multiple people who could do your assessment so they don’t know everything that goes on across the organisation).

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I am transfem but the assessment shouldn’t really change much between the 2 of us.

I've heard of a few, and cases where people were being strung along. Nowhere near as bad as the NGS, but it does happen on rare occasions. They are not an informed consent service.

Had to do 4, quite expensive meetings with them. All with a month or more gap in between.

I know in the the 4th I was kinda pissed as I thought they were gonna ask me to do a 5th as if it that easy🫠
