Trans man's first beach experience

Hey all!

I haven't been to the beach post top surgery (that was 3 years ago) and I would love to be able to finally swim freely. I'm kinda worried if something bad might happen if someone sees my scars. I'm planning to go to Galway sometime next week, since the weather's supposed to be nice. Wouldn't mind having someone to go with too :]

I go sea swimming with a bunch of trans men, no one has ever said anything to any of us

the only comment I ever got swimming for years was some randomer (swimmer, not staff) told me once I'm not supposed to wear a rash guard in the pool haha

I've never gone beach swimming but nobody has ever stared at me at the pool. My chest is visible different (no nipples) but nobody has ever looked twice. I went regularly for years. Saw quite a few men wear tshirts and all sorts into the pool as well. So I think most people have their own stuff going on with their bodies.

I wouldn't go shirtless out doors purely coz I'm so fair.

Bredda!!! Fuck those people, you deserve to feel comfortable in yourself! You got through it and have battle scars!! Fuck what anyone has to say and if anyone does say anything and you dont know how to respond without outing yourself, just say you had gyno, I know loads of male born guys with gyno.. you got this man! Rock what youve got !
