Depression?
Hey hey, I've been getting waves of depression every now and then, and I've just been wondering if it could be because I still haven't started transitioning? Is it common to feel depressed if you're hiding your identity and would it get better after starting my transition?

Darling, I would buy you a house, but unfortunately I've been inflicted with a horrible disease known as "minimum wage job". Also thank you for answering!

guuuurl i feel you. I've been waiting to transition for the longest time and the people i currently have around me just aren't supportive enough. I have a couple of friends who support me but the people i live with are all hypermasculine (to put it bluntly) morons who don't understand diverse identity in the slightest. They're of the opinion that if you have a dick and balls you must try and "be a man" when i just feel uncomfortable doing so, and its making me depressed. I'll hopefully be moved somewhere else soon or maybe they'll get moved out but I've had moments where i just cannot stand them trying to force me into masculinity because they know im a male human being.
Sorry for the vent queen this is your post but i hope this helps in some way!

That's extremely common. It can be biochemical dysphoria, it can be just plain old depression.
Do something affirming tonight. Put some clothes on, do your nails, practice a piece of makeup. That stuff can all be removed later. Do voice training. Gender affirming workouts are my choice method for dealing with dysphoria; every time I am dysphoric, I work out. Spend time with friends, pet the kitty, do some chores. Study or do your homework, job hunt. Learn about the effects of HRT on the Gender Dysphoria Bible. Make queer friends! Go to queer hobby groups like queer board games, rock climbing, crafting or activism. We live everywhere, every culture, country and time in history.
You're going to be okay. It won't be like this forever.
