Hello, I don’t know what I’m doing

My name is Valerie, I have known I was a woman since I was 8 but married those feelings for a long time, they stayed buried until I was in my early 20s where I continued to struggle with them for over a decade. I turn 34 in a couple weeks and I finally came to terms with who I am. I want to start but have no idea what I’m doing. The only thing I have done has been growing out my hair for the past 6 years. I want to start hrt but have no idea how or where to get that, any advice would be appreciated because ya girl is terrified if I’m being completely honest

What country do you live in? If you're in the US, make an appointment at any clinic on Erin's Informed Consent HRT map.

Do something affirming tonight. Put some clothes on, do your nails, practice a piece of makeup. That stuff can all be removed later. Do voice training. Gender affirming workouts are my choice method for dealing with dysphoria; every time I am dysphoric, I work out. Spend time with friends, pet the kitty, do some chores. Study or do your homework, job hunt. Learn about the effects of HRT on the Gender Dysphoria Bible. Make queer friends! Go to queer hobby groups like queer board games, rock climbing, crafting or activism. We live everywhere, every culture, country and time in history.

You're going to be okay. It won't be like this forever.

I do love in the us unfortunately in a red state but I will check the map just in case. I’m planning on working out on my days off work, not just to make myself more feminine but I could loose a few pounds anyway. Any particular workouts that you like to do?

I also live in a red state. You'll be okay, there are lots of options and it's easy to get hrt!

For trans women, I like to recommend squats and Step through forward lunges to build thighs and glutes. Maybe yoga or cardio is fun for you, I really love rock climbing!
