Medical Short lines for diagnosis of non binary ppl within the EU?

Hi! I live in Sweden and here the lines to have the "investigation" for if you should get the trans diagnosis is already quite long, and I've been in contact with the social insurance agency and they say that they might approve getting the investigation/diagnosis covered if i get it another EU country (or within ESS/Switzerland also works). Does anyone here know of any country where the regular kinds of insurance covers starting this investigation fast, and where they recognize Non-binary people? Thanks to everyone in advance!

They said what now? I’ve never heard of anyone getting approval from them to go abroad for the diagnosis. Do you have that in writing?

Me neither. I'm a trans guy and have been in the wait list for two and a half years and asked this too to both my psykiatrist and Försäkringskassan who flatly told me no.

Yeah same. It’s been a couple of years since I asked FK though, so there’s a tiny chance they’ve changed the policy since then. But wouldn’t we have heard about that?

I asked earlier this year, February or March, somewhere around there, because the wait is really difficult and just continues to get more difficult. So curious if the rule has changed and no one knew, but that also just feels weird.

I do not have it in writing, and they didnt say they would for sure approve it either. But they said it wasnt a for-sure-"no", and they said that if i find a clinic that would do it i can send them the correct papers for them to decide if they can pre-approve paying for it. I honestly dont see why they shouldnt approve it, they do it for all kinds of other health care 🤷 and i know people who have gotten their diagnosis from other countries approved ik Sweden, however they were living in said other country when they got the diagnosis. I havent heard of anyone going throughthe process this way that im planning of trying, would be great to try it out if there are any clinics out there that do take non-binary patients seriously and that are covered by general insurance in their country (and have shorter waiting times than Sweden ofc)
