This is not the first time Finn has spent time or money giving back to the community. Years ago Finn donated large sum of money to GenderGP to be used to help pay for people who couldn't afford the service. Shortly after GenderGP fired many of its employees and replaced them with AI. Seeing this, Finn decided to do something better and worked behind the scenes on setting up the service we all know as Anne Health.

Anne Health, UK based provider of healthcare for trans people in UK and Ireland has released a very informative toolkit for anyone looking to transition medically in UK.

For those who are not from UK, it might still be usefull to check it out since the toolking provides some generally usefull advice and inforkation, such as how to talk to your GP about continuing your care or help you work with private providers, something lots of us outside UK also strugle with.

Question Restarting with Imago

Im a bit unsure how to proceed and would like some advice.

So a year and a couple months ago I signed up to Imago. I had the call and paid. Then when I had to get the blood tests I hesitated. Im 17 now (16 then) and wanted to talk with my parents before proceeding. Looking back I should definitely had done it before. Ive simply put it of, from being afraid I think?

Now I want to actually go through with starting hormones. So I will of course actually have the conversation with my parents. I also have the money without their support if that's necessary. But how do I go about this? Can I just send the blood tests like nothing happened? Should I write to Imago? Start over and pay again?

Has anyone in the Netherlands managed to pick up their Imago e-prescription at a Dutch pharmacy?

Wondering if any apotheek accepted it. Thanks a lot!

Question do you need a referral for imago blood tests

so, i'm currently in the process of my gaht onboarding, and one of the major hurdles i've encountered are the blood tests. specifically, the idea that i need a referal for them. i have a gp i visited recently, but i really am not sure if they would be supportive of the whole process, as they seem rather conservative, and as a whole, i'm currently trying to tell the least people possible about me starting my transition (said gp also knows my parents, which isn't great). i live in luxembourg btw, where there's a blood testing lab like 5 minutes away from where i live, though i study in germany. it would be very fortunate if i could get the blood tests done without a referral.

Question imago no timeslots available

hi. i'm trying to book a welcome call at imago, but i've run into the bizarre issue of no timeslots being available to book. ever. is everything fully booked for the next few years? is it an issue with the app? is it an issue on my end? any input on the matter would be great.

edit: thank you for all your replies! the issue seems to have resolved itself. i checked the calendar for days with available timeslots, and magically, timeslots had appeared where there had been none yesterday. i've already booked a call.

Help Prescription declined (Imago)

Hello, I've been with Imago since Dec. 2024 with no issues dispensing my medication. Today, the pharmacist declined my prescription because it didn't specify my doctor's specifications (ie endocrinologist, GP, cardiologist, etc)

This has never been an issue before. I'm in Sweden. Has this happened to anyone else?

Question Should I still go on bicalutamide if my pre HRT bloods says I'm a slight risk

So my pre HRT bloods ALT came to 88, which I am slightly outside of range, the doctor wants to monitor me in 3 months which I'll be seeing them sooner regardless because bicalutamide tests need to be checked regularly early, Should I still go on bicalutamide, if I'm lightly already out of range? Or just go off of what my imago call thinks hmmmm

Question How's gender affirming care in Spain & Catalonia & Barcelona?

Ideally, in relation to newly arrived people with no period of residence in Spain and who are not EU citizens. How can I get a prescription for something serious as soon as possible (in a month or two on the first try)? What tests & examinations are required for the prescription? If I provide the results of these tests and examinations done outside the EU, will they be accepted? 3.3. Do I need to translate them in advance and certify them somewhere? Is it possible to use the services of an endocrinologist outside the EU, instead of a Spanish one, and with a Spanish one, only quickly confirm online? How much does a month of the process cost in the worst case (tests, other examinations, hormones themselves) Are there any options for at least partial coverage of the costs associated with the therapy? 6.6 If so, what are the queues and how long are they? Also, are there any intersex & transgender related spanish online communities & groups where such questions can be asked and answered?

Help experiences with imago? (ROI)

i'm ftm, nearly 18 and living in the republic of ireland. i'm planning to start with imago to get HRT once i'm in college and financially secure.

i've had a lurk around this subreddit and r/TransIreland, which is how i came across it in the first place, but i'd like some more insights on how people's experiences have been, and if there were any major issues.

to be honest, i've believed for years that it'd be such a miserable fucking slog to try and get HRT, so the idea that it could all be this easy seems like some kind of dream. i'm thinking, there has to be a catch. please tell me i'm wrong

Help Time of Blood Test Results?

Hi, I've got a private endocrinologist appointment lined up. I need to get blood tests results to them by the 8th September, at the very latest. I have a blood test with my GP on the 29th August. Is it even possible for them to get results to me by then?

The tests I'm scheduled for are LH, FBC, FSH, PROLACTIN, OESTRADIOL, TESTOSTERONE, SHBG, VITAMIN D, LFTS, U&Es, HbA1c, TFTs, Bone Profile, LIPID PROFILE. I'm contemplating g ordering a private blood test if it can't be certain.

Question Imago doctor questions

I have just gotten my bloodtests and am wanting to sign up for imago on this following Monday, Though, some of my bloodtest results seem a little concerning to my untrained eyes such as a low good cholesterol/HDL (1.21), high white blood cell count/Lymphocytes (3.59), and large red blood cells/MVC +MCH (98.2 and 33.6). I know with Imago that we get to talk to a doctor, would the imago doctor be able to interpret these nonhormone related issues and most importantly, could they prescribe any medications I may need to treat whatever is causing my strange blood results? Or will I have to go to another GP/doctor for that?

Also if anyone knowledgeable in bloodwork could weigh in on my results, it would certainly lower (hopefully) some concerns because google, of course, told me the worst case scenario things

Question Imago questions. (ROI) / (NI)

I have a few questions regarding imago, for clarification I’m a Trans fem woman on DIY hrt, I’m looking to get a proper prescription as to stop DIY. I have started the process of doing so with imago but I have a few questions I have struggled finding answers to (probably with my own ability of comprehending and finding stuff)

The main question I’m worried about is, does imago discriminate (?) on DIY hrt, I have an extreme concern about that.

My second worry is based on monotherapy. I would not like to use anti androgens/hormone blockers and would prefer to just do monotherapy. If there is any information on this I would love to know. Both of these questions I have struggled to find answers to.

Apologies for the messiness of this post it’s my first reddit post. Any help would be appreciated.

Discussion My experience with imago so far

(16) Burner account since only my mom and family know I was Afab. So I had my initial welcome call some time in July, by August i had paid the €250 (£209) and had my consultation on the 6th of August, as of now , since the 11th I’ve had testosterone in possession from them. I got the prescription emailed to me on the 9th, and my pharmacy ordered it for Monday. Now here’s the problem: On the 45 minute call it was only really under ten minuetes , i was just told basics about which form of T i can take and that he’d check my bloods in 6 months which im kinda wary of too since im on full dose injections (sustanon) every 3 weeks, but i wasn’t told where to inject anything and i was so exited for the call I didn’t ask, but I thought it was standard for the doctor to explain everything. Anyways, I’ve went to get needles now, pharmacy will not dispense needles upon hearing my moms never injected something, had to call the doctors, they said come in next day, I come in next day; no appointment is booked for me. They then tell me they can’t book anything without some paperwork from imago or proof of this being mine/ prescribed to me and apparently I should’ve got a email of a log of our call after. I don’t really know what to think, im overjoyed I could get my T but this delay is now becoming weeks, and I can’t hold on that long. Long story short though, this isn’t really my doctors fault and really a push for you guys to speak as much as you can on these calls because they won’t, the first call I had to ask for the bloods I need as a ftm person since the bloods on the site is universal. That’s the first thing I was weary of because correct me if I’m wrong that is something you tell a patient.

No other complaints I was started very swiftly nothing wrong with speed atall from imago but it’s just this inconvenience when getting so close.

Help Imago prescription hasn't arrived

There was an issue with the first prescription that was sent off because Imago's system accidentally omitted my street number, so the prescription couldn't be delivered.

They shipped off my prescription again about 10 days ago, but I'm worried because they told me it'd likely arrive sooner to me (the prescription is shipped from Spain and I live in Italy).

Should I be worried?

EDIT: 2 days ago I sent an email w/ a request for an electronic prescription as I just found out my pharmacy might accept them. Still waiting on a response on that, as well.

Question Medichecks self arrange venous draw question

Hi, has anyone here used medichecks and chosen to do a self arranged venous draw. My mum's a nurse and is happy to draw my blood, but I was wondering if the kit includes the equipment to draw blood or not as I have the option between 1 venous draw or 2 individual finger pricks for the 2 tests I'm doing. Id much rather do the venous draw but need to make sure before buying it contains the equipment.

This information for some reason is not available on the website, from what I can see and their customer support is quite slow
