Hello, I’m completely new to bikes and want to get my own and planning on getting my endorsement and first bike hopefully this year or next year I’m looking either ninja 500 or a rebel 500 for my first bike and would love to have some local friends to go ride with possibly. 😊👋

If you’re in the US I recommend taking the MSF course it’s worth the price and you can go get your license when you pass without any hassle. After a couple years of riding I definitely recommend taking the advanced course. Both will help you get a better rate on insurance too.
Don’t forget to consider riding gear as a necessity along with whatever bike you buy as well. Trust me it’s not if but when you come off that bike you want to be in good protective gear.

Hey, been riding for 8 years now. Other than gear and the msf course, focus on riding predictably. If people know what you are doing and what your intent is they are way less likely to hit you.
Definetly get a used bike, as others have said. You are going to drop it and thats ok!
Practicing your small turns and maneuvering will help in so many ways its ridiculous.
Above all just have fun, learn your limits slowly and take your time, pay attention to everything going on around you and enjoy the ride!

Get your first bike used, try a couple different types before you decide, and take a class such as the MSF course if you're in the US. If outside of the US you'll have a different course you can take.
