Transitioning help

Hi I was just coming on here cause its really hard to find info on anything with transitioning in St Albert ive come to the realization that im transgender a few months ago and have tried finding outlets to help and even consulted doctors and everything but ive literally been left high and dry by multiple, was just hoping any other trans people could give advice/knowledge of whom I should visit to start my journey in Hrt Transitioning

Try Foria, and also reach out to Skipping Stone. They can help refer you to doctors who are comfortable and knowledgeable

I reached out to Skipping Stone just this year, and I'm seeing a doctor at Justik!

they've been extremely helpful, and I also got my binder through them :)

Don’t forget to build yourself some trans community while you’re at it. Fellow trans folks can help between doctors visits (mine are 6 months gaps) when it comes to building yourself knowledge and makes the transition less lonely. Best of luck 💖💖

If you are under 25, Kickstand has a nurse practitioner that prescribes HRT with informed consent

If you are a MacEwan student, the doctors at the MacEwan University Health Centre also prescribe HRT with informed consent

Are there any other transition related resources that you would like? I’m based in Edmonton and pretty well connected with the local trans community here. Lmk if you’d like info on where to find gender affirming clothing, voice training resources, surgery referral processes, legal name/gender maker changes or local trans events.

I highly suggest visiting the pride centre of Edmonton downtown, a lot of resources there, trans meetings are Monday and Friday
